The tour begins in charming Westminster where you'll see the seats of the royal and governmental bodies that control the United Kingdom. You'll have a chance to crack your best jokes to the King's guards, see the most famous palace in the world, take a photo of "Big Ben" and then learn why you aren't actually taking a photo of Big Ben. Sometimes we even have an opportunity to wave to the King and sometimes, he even waves back!
After exploring Westminster, it will be time for a lunch break! Your guide will then take you to charming Villiers Street - a little avenue that is filled with nothing but places to eat! Take your pick from numerous pubs, sandwich shops, cafes' and restaurants - including one of our favourite hidden gems: an 18th century wine cellar (food not included in ticket price). Once you've had a bite to eat and a nice little rest, it's off to the second half of your tour.
Here, you'll be traipsing through the "Square Mile" on a journey that will take you through the oldest streets in London – from the Roman settlement 2,000 years ago - to the newest (and tallest!) buildings in all of Europe. This tour will lead you to the most historic pub in all of London, through the financial heart of the United Kingdom, and along the glorious and picturesque River Thames. You'll stroll along the ancient underground river Fleet, marvel at magnificent St. Paul's, and a enjoy a grand finale at Her Majesty’s Fortress, The Tower of London!
